Up until recently, there never was an issue with anyone in the trading industry not knowing about Mark and Paula. In the past several years however, it appears that due to the piracy of the workshops that Mark hosted – traders newer to the industry have focused only on those workshops, thinking that is all there is to Mark and he did it all himself.
We are at a loss to understand how any of you who claim you "...had no ill intentions or disrespect..." think that stealing copyright-protected materials from Mark Douglas and Paula T. Webb for your own financial benefit is okay. Our office has never closed, we continue to publish new materials and host workshops - so what is the justification in posting someone else's works? Just because you find something on the internet does not mean it is appropriate or legal to repost for your benefit, and you all know this before you post. You know this because our website URL has NEVER been posted on any of the pirated videos.
Paula T. Webb owns all the copyrights as co-author of The Disciplined Trader, editor of Trading in the Zone, dialogue writer of all Mark’s workshops that you find on the internet, co-author of all their newer books; all of this as Mark's business partner and wife. It's about time this industry came to terms with this fact. Just because you or anyone else may not have heard of Paula has nothing to do with the theft of copyright-protected materials.
What is interesting is that it never occurs to any of you posting/reposting to contact our office and work together mutually. You want to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, never providing us your name, website URL or any other information about yourself. This was a mystery to the late great Mark Douglas, who was so generous all he ever asked from every one of you was to post their website URL on your pirated posts; all of you refused to do so even after being called out for copyright infringement. Even today, most of you who post still refuse to add our URL prior to getting the copyright strike.
We will share that Mark did not want to think he failed getting his message across to traders. But, it broke his heart to think that none of you posting their materials understood what it means to think and act like a winner, and this is in large part why he left us, thinking he failed all of you.
Was asking you who post to add our URL so much to ask? Is it still too much to ask? What is it you think you are going to lose by adding their URL to your posting of OUR materials? What are you going to lose? Mark and Paula have lost years being able to host workshops due to all this posting - but that's okay right? Why is it all of you in this industry that all of us traders love so much, feel that [Mark and] Paula does not deserve to get paid for helping you when providing our pirated materials for content on your social media to countless other traders, to become better traders - by not even posting their URL?
To be fair, we understand piracy is a fact of life on the internet - but it became a fact by people attempting to build their own businesses (in our case) using Mark and Paula's world renown reputation, instead of working together with our office. And each one of you do so, because you do not believe in Universal Abundance - the philosophy we have been teaching since 1990. A philosophy that countless holy men, philosophers, sages, wise men have taught, preached, and which is written in all Holy Scriptures in any faith since the earliest days of mankind. In essence, none of you who post understand the true concepts that Mark and Paula's materials are truly about. That is sad.
We send this message to everyone who contacts our office only after their copyright strike. For the record, our office has always been open to working together with those wishing to post/repost the pirated videos (other materials before the internet we requested our office details be included in their usage which was always honored) long before Mark died, if only to include our website URL on their post - but more importantly with the offer to share our new materials for a financially mutual benefit.
Again, it is sad that none of you posting the 20+-year-old video materials (some of which have been voiced-over using AI and are no longer our materials or message) - realize the true profit opportunities available by working together with new, deeper and more appropriate messages for today's traders.
Most traders today choose not to learn the journey that Mark and Paula traveled which is a story Mark always shared in his coaching and workshops (not those videos pirated on the internet) – a journey to bring those same traders insights to grow their equity growth. And those of you younger than 30 years old, we understand it would be difficult for you to believe that women in this industry weren’t always acknowledged. But that doesn’t make your anger toward Paula acceptable.
